How much experience do your DJs have?
We have 11 DJs and several are on the radio every day.
All the DJs are trained by Beth
and each has between 3 and 20 years experience in front
of large and small crowds, from outdoor concert events to
intimate gatherings.
|
Do you use contracts?
Yes. We use contracts that clearly indicate what is to be provided and what is expected.
Please see our Wedding DJ Planning Process.
|
How much do you charge?
There are many factors that affect rates, such as date, location and the services we provide. Our service is tailored to suit you. Give us a call, 860.871.7515 or email Beth at - laangel@partyprodj.com for a FREE, NO OBLIGATION consultation and quote.
|

|
Is lighting included with my music?
We offer many types of lighting, flat screens and effects options that can be included as part of your quote. Please see
our lighting page.
|
How many breaks do your DJs take during an event?
The DJs do not take breaks during a normal 4 to 6 hour event. Your service is uninterrupted during that period.
|
Do you charge for travel and set up?
Normally, we never charge for travel or set up. Once in
awhile, circumstances warrant additional charges to travel
long distances, wait time or for additional sound equipment.
Otherwise there are no hidden fees or extra charges.
|
Do I have to tip the DJ?
If your DJ does an outstanding job and you want to show your appreciation, please feel free to tip. 10% is customary.
|
Do I have to provide a meal for the DJ?
A meal for your DJ is a nice gesture, but is not required.
|
How will the DJ, event staff or set up crew be dressed?
The DJ will be dressed in a style appropriate to your event
such as a tux, suit, business casual or themed. Staff is
dressed business casual or themed. Set up crew is dressed
neat, appropriate and professional.
|
What kind of sound equipment do you use?
All of our equipment is new and state-of-the-art. We use
a combination of good old fashioned CDs and computers. Our
sound systems come in small ,
medium and large to match the requirements of your event.
When necessary, we can provide multiple sound systems. We
use JBL and Yamaha speakers, American Audio, Denon, Numark
and Pioneer CD players. Crown, QSC and Yamaha amplifiers.
AKG, Electro Voice, Sennheiser and Shure microphones. Windows
and Mac based computers and software, plus high quality
cables, components and connectors.
|
Will I have control over how loud the music is?
Yes. We work with you and your venue to create sound levels
that are appropriate for your event. We can raise or lower
the sound levels at various times during your event.
|
Will we be able to use your sound system for toasts, etc.?
Absolutely. We offer hand-held or stand-held microphones for your toasts, blessings, readings or other announcements that you or your guests wish to make.
|
We want to have our wedding vows heard by our guests. Do you do that?
Yes. We have hand-held and lavalier microphones that can be set up for your vows.
|
What kind of lighting equipment do you use?
Our lighting fixtures are a combination of conventional
and LED. Up lighting, dance floor wash, custom monogram
and pin spotting as well as white and multi-colored ball
and bank lighting. See
our lighting page.
|
May I see my DJ perform before I decide?
At a private wedding or event, no. However, when the DJs
are performing in public such as a sports event or local
club, it's possible to see them there. Also, you can meet
your DJ ahead of time to be sure there's a good match. Several
of our DJs can be heard regularly on the radio in the southern
New England area and world-wide on the Internet.
|
Do you book more than one event on one day?
Yes. With 11 DJs we have the ability to book multiple events.
However, we NEVER DOUBLE BOOK YOUR DJ. Your DJ will be with
you for your entire event. And there is always a DJ serving
as back up in the unlikely event of an emergency. Plus,
you have the option of having more than one DJ / MC at your
event.
|
Can I pick the music for my event?
Of course! It's your event and the music is important on your special day. We'll work with you to ensure we have all your "must plays" as well as your "do not plays". Our huge music library is available to you on-line to make your selections and create your own play list. From classical to contemporary, the music is as individual as you are. We also welcome any specialty music you provide. And of course we take requests, if you choose.
|
What about Ceremony and Cocktail music?
Not a problem. You can choose from our massive music library
or even provide your own.
|
How much time is required to set up and break down your equipment?
Typically for a music only event, the DJ arrives an hour
before your start time. The DJ sets up and familiarizes
himself with the layout of the venue and performs a sound
check. The DJ will touch base with the caterer, photographer
and any other vendors you've included. During many events,
Beth,
Aubrey
or Mike
C. will also arrive to oversee the set up and remain
on hand to ensure your event runs smoothly with no surprises.
Normally, we need about 30 to 45 minutes to break down and
load out. For large events with lighting, multiple sound
systems, TV screens or effects, a longer time is needed
for the breakdown.
|
Do you offer free consultations?
Absolutely! Beth
is available to meet with you for a no cost, no obligation
consultation. Beth will answer all your questions and explain
our services. Plus, Beth
is available for all follow up meetings, phone calls and
email. Every event is unique and is specifically tailored

no pressure meeting, please call Beth,
1.800.970.5151 or email. laangel@partyprodj.com
|
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. To reserve your date and DJ, we require a $200 non-refundable
deposit. The balance is due seven (7) days before your event.
Once your deposit is received, you'll get your personal
password to our online music library and the planning section
of our web site to begin selecting your music and planning
your event.
|
Do you provide references?
Yes! We take great pride in our level of service to our
clients and will gladly provide references for you to check.
In the meantime, please review many of the impressive reviews
and testimonials from previous clients.
